CLASS TIMETABLE

At ‘grit’ we cater our classes to everyone. How do we do that? Well, we have a wide range of weights, from teeny tiny dumbbells to big old whoppers. Grace is an experienced personal trainer and instructor. She will listen to you and offer alternatives to exercises - modifications (if you find a press up off your knees too hard) and progressions (she’ll make you do one with a weight plate on your back).

The joy of ‘grit’ is that you get to enjoy your workout and choose your own goals - be it improving fitness, strength, burning calories or moving your body 2-3 times a week and being in the fresh air.

Grace isn’t going to shout at you, but if you want to work hard and you want a “beasting” she’ll be more than happy to oblige!

BOOTCAMP:

A MIXED CLASS OF BODYWEIGHT EXERCISES SUCH AS SQUATS, LUNGES, THE DREADED BURPEE ETC, AS WELL AS THE USE OF WEIGHTS OR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT SUCH AS BATTLEROPES. THERE’S OFTEN RUNNING AND BOXING EXERCISES TOO (BOXING GLOVES CAN BE BOUGHT THROUGH GRACE IF YOU’D LIKE YOUR OWN PAIR). THE BEAUTY OF A BOOTCAMP CLASS IS YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO GET BUT IT’S FUN, DYNAMIC AND WILL GET YOU FIT!

DURATION: 60 MINUTES - WHEN THE WEATHER IS GOOD THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL YOGA STRETCH LEAD BY SOPHIE WALKER ON OUR MONDAY-THURSDAY MORNING SESSIONS

GRIT STRENGTH:

A CLASS THAT FOCUSES ON IMPROVING STRENGTH THROUGH FREE WEIGHT AND BODY WEIGHT EXERCISES. THESE CLASSES ARE SLOWER PACED COMPARED TO BOOTCAMP AND HAVE A TECHNIQUE FOCUS. THERE’S TIME TO ASK QUESTIONS AND IMPROVE YOUR FORM.

DURATION: 45 MINUTES

GRIT RUN CLUB:

A RUNNING BASED SESSION WITH VARIED LOCATIONS AND DISTANCES AROUND THE GODALMING AREA. GOOD FOR EXPERIENCED RUNNERS AND IMPROVERS. BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN GRACE’S COUCH 2 5K PROGRAMME WHICH ISN’T YET TIMETABLED
